d6 is a company that operates as a business to business and business to consumer company in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Its main purpose is to make schools run efficiently through bridging the gap between financial, communication and administration services that are necessary for a school to run. 

d6 works with a variety of different schools within South Africa, each of schools gives d6 data sheets containing a variety of information on the members for d6’s communication platform. These data sheets are often unorganized and contain redundant entries with varying information

During my time at d6, I worked on a data cleansing project so that d6 would have an automates data cleansing process that would work on any arrangement of data received. The final product was a python notebook that would deduplicate records and consolidate rows. The application of this notebook reduced the manual labor of cleaning each school's data by hand and increased efficiency at d6. 

In addition, I worked on a data formatting project. d6 had a variety of types of data and this data about the learner and the parents was often stored in the same file and was a more complex  file. For this project, through the use of GUI the user could select which columns were associated with the learner and which columns were associated with the parent. The code would then reformat the excel file. The result of this project was a generalized data file that created consistency between each of the school's data.

The final project that I worked on was creating a Zoho Analytics Dashboard using KPI’s that were provided by d6. This dashboard was used to track the success of their newest product across all departments.
